Communication always was my further will. I would like to open that blog with a text I wrote before internet, and digital photography evolved into our lives. A text about photography. The subject I use to observe my self and express my thoughts.


SOME THOUGHTS ABOUT PHOTOGRAPHY

The ultimate goal of a photographer is primarily the identification and furthermore the broadening of his/her eyesight (view). These should fall in line with his aesthetic, psychic, mental, emotional and reflective abilities, filtered by his technical background.

The photographer gathers and develops his data, captures moments on film and, finally, reveals his product, the ‘photograph’. It is usually minute fragments of time (appr.1/250 sec), during which signs are imprinted on the background of the five lines (aesthetic, psychic, mental, emotional and reflective), the lines that reflect the flow of time. A continuous and steady flow that we cannot alter but can make an icon of, by means of light.

Doesn’t it sound spellbinding and extremely interesting? And it sure is!
The possibility that we are offered by the art of photography to create music on the stave of life with real life moments instead of music notes, is exceptional, as well as the chance our view is offered to take a look back and discover the past.

The prime importance of discovering the past is unquestionable and the art of photography offers a great chance to realize such a goal in our life process.  The importance of photography (and the art of photography) does not lie in whether the picture is a black and white or colour print or whether it is of a large or small format. It does not even lie in whether it is digital or (not) conventional. It lies on each one’s personal style, which depends with its turn, on the soul and the background that we have created. On that background we place these moments, that we read and decipher using the same data, in order to transfer information for the sake of the ultimate goal: Communication…
